Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their service vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

For the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to Summit-based Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise money for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his workers both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the quantity of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a large number of families who are struggling with this disease, and therefore we have an urgent need for research and support.”

Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.”
